Job description

Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team.

Direct hire

Pay rate: $35-$45 depending on level of experience

What You'll Do

  • Program, edit, and optimize CNC milling programs using Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software
  • Create machining programs for CNC Vertical Machining Centers producing tooling components and precision-machined parts
  • Program and maintain an InspecVision optical inspection system to support automated quality verification
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T to develop efficient machining strategies
  • Create detailed setup sheets including tooling, pickup points, tool paths, and grind stock specifications
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule
  • Improve machining processes by reducing cycle times, increasing efficiency, and enhancing product quality
  • Manage cutting tool inventory and tooling materials based on production requirements and tooling BOMs
  • Monitor tool performance and coordinate replenishment of critical tooling
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and machine operators to support manufacturing goals
  • Maintain accurate program documentation and implement engineering changes as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of CNC milling programming experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM programming software
  • Extensive knowledge of G-code, CNC machining, tooling selection, feeds and speeds
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
