Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Survey CAD Technician to join our dynamic surveying team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating field survey data into precise, detailed CAD drawings and models that support a variety of civil engineering, land development, and construction projects. Your expertise in CAD software and surveying equipment will be essential in creating accurate topographic maps, construction layouts, ALTA surveys, and legal descriptions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while utilizing cutting-edge technology such as 3D scanners, LiDAR, and GPS systems. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform field work on civil engineering, construction, and general surveying projects, including topographic, ALTA, boundary, Right of Way and As-builts, Flood Elevation Certificates, Lot Surveys with supervision provided by a senior survey technician
  • Create preliminary plats and drawings
  • Follow company CAD procedures and standards
  • Maintain schedules
  • Utilize CAD commands (Corridors, Feature Lines and Pipe networks)
  • Perform site civil layouts and design tasks (i.e. plan and profiles, slope calculations, grading information, cross sections, drainage)


Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in AutoCAD, and/or Civil3D experience a plus / not required
  • Statistical and analytical knowledge using advanced math skills preferred.
  • Land surveying, engineering, or planning experience is preferred
  • Experience with hardware and software technology is preferred
  • Understand basic principles of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
  • 3D Modeling – Existing and Proposed
  • File Management
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.


Working and Physical Requirements

  • Able to work approximately Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting of heavy objects (20 lb. or more)
  • Use of hands, arms, eyes, and voice.
  • Must be able to use office and computer equipment.
  • Work is mostly conducted in office with occasional errands and trips to project sites.
  • This position could require work outside of these hours.
