Job Summary:
SteerBridge Strategies is a modern technology company delivering innovative solutions to the U.S. Government and private sector. They are seeking a Data Engineer to support aviation analytics and aircraft readiness initiatives at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, focusing on building and maintaining data pipelines and ensuring high-quality data for operational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
• Build and optimize processes for collecting, transforming, and loading data
• Support data integration across multiple systems and data sources
• Ensure reliable and scalable data solutions for analytics initiatives
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries
• Manage and support relational databases and data warehouses
• Troubleshoot data issues and improve overall data performance
• Support cloud-based data environments using AWS or Azure
• Work with modern data platforms and tools to improve data accessibility and efficiency
• Assist with data storage, transformation, and pipeline optimization
• Monitor and validate data quality and integrity
• Automate recurring data processes and workflows
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and processing issues
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3 years of professional Data Engineering experience
• Strong SQL skills
• Strong Python skills
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments
• Experience working with large datasets and data integration processes
• Ability to work onsite in Cherry Point, NC
Preferred:
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with PySpark
• Experience supporting DoD, federal, aviation, or logistics environments
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
