Description
Title and Location: Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science (multiple positions) - St. Mary's City, Maryland
Duties: Teach three courses per semester, contribute to the college-wide general education curriculum, as well as to their departmental curriculum. Bring enthusiasm and skills to help reimagine computer science in the liberal arts. Provide leadership to an emerging interdisciplinary data science program at the College.
Requirements: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field. Preference for: A successful candidate will have a strong commitment to inclusive undergraduate teaching across all levels of the curriculum, a belief in a liberal arts tradition, and an interest in developing an active research program that involves undergraduates. Searching for a candidate who has a collaborative spirit, and can bring enthusiasm and skills to help us reimagine computer science in the liberal arts. The successful candidate is also expected to provide leadership to an emerging interdisciplinary data science program at the College. We welcome applications from candidates specializing in all areas of computer science, including interdisciplinary and socially-engaged areas of computer science.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 for Assistant Professor; $120,000 to $135,000 for Associate Professor.
