Job Description

Job Title: Weekend Computer Operator

Location: Glenview, IL

Duration: Fulltime Permanent (Direct Hire)

The successful candidates will handle all aspects of Enterprise Command Center environment, including operating system, support systems, job flow Change, problem notification/escalation, media management, printer management, computer room physical security, and hardware/environmental monitoring. Help Desk experience and server knowledge is a strong plus.
This position is for the weekend shift working Friday thru Sunday 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Job Description: Candidates will have a minimum of five years Mainframe Computer Operations experience to include MVS, JES2,(in a sysplex environment), exposure to WAN, LAN interfaces, and PC software literacy. Candidates must be able to navigate through production schedules. Proficiency in BMC software (Control OMR and Control EM) is desired. Knowledge and use of WUG monitoring software is a strong plus. Working knowledge and understanding of Windows Servers, AS400 and AIX platforms are also a strong plus. Network understanding and troubleshooting is also a strong plus.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to work well under stressful, problem situations and make thoughtful decisions. Must also have the ability to identify and communicate important information to our Information Services support teams. Dependability and the ability to work in a group setting are a must.
