Position Specific Description
The Non-Licensed Operator (Auxiliary Operator) role is located at our Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Two Rivers, WI.
Job Overview
The principal duties of the Auxiliary Operator occupation consist of operating and conducting surveillance on equipment as assigned on shift in coordination with the control operator and under the supervision of the Duty Shift Superintendent and Duty Operating Supervisor. This employee must operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner and in strict compliance with applicable station licensed operating and emergency procedures and instructions, and safety rules and regulations. This employee also ensures that the Control Operator and supervisors are kept fully informed of any abnormal conditions, and must perform housekeeping in the assigned areas and maintain and clean equipment as assigned. This employee also performs such other duties as may be required during times when assigned to the relief shift, during emergencies or drills, refueling, or maintenance, which may include such work as processing waste materials, routine maintenance, or decontamination. This position has physical requirements for tasks such as operation of valves and other equipment, use of protective respiratory and self contained breathing apparatus, fire fighting and emergency rescue evolutions, etc. This vacancy does or may include rotating shifts.

  • Must meet site specific ANSI qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and should posess a high degree of manual dexterity and mature judgement
  • Pass Plant Operator Selection System-Nuclear (POSS) test
  • Unescorted access to the nuclear plant as required by Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) security requirements
  • The applicant shall meet all applicable medical requirements
