Job description

Universal Feed & Machine is growing and looking to add an experienced Saw Operator who is flexible, committed, and takes pride in doing quality work. The ideal candidate can load and unload metal bar stock, inventory material, and cut metal bar stock using appropriate tools and machines. This Saw Operator position is a permanent day shift opportunity, and is located in Auburn Hills, MI. Hiring for up to $18/hr

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in material control of metal bar stock.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating a band saw
  • Familiar with all types of bar stock material and material certifications
  • Ability to enter bar stock inventory in a computer
  • Ability to cut various metals with a band saw
  • Ability to use overhead crane
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
  • Must have experience driving hi-lo
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Must be willing and able to complete all assigned tasks
  • Must be reliable, a self-starter and self-motivated
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed
  • Reliable transportation and drug screening are required.

This is a permanent, full-time position.
