Job description

We are looking for a TERMINAL OPERATOR II to join our Port Allen, LA location. As a Terminal Operator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will perform monthly PM's , troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, unload product barges, and perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate rail and truck receiving, loading, and dispatch, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Mobile equipment operation.
  • Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on equipment.
  • Unloading of barges
  • Collect product samples for quality assurance and report supply or quality issues.

About You
We Require:
  • A minimum of 1-year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • Strong mechanical skill set.
  • Previous Barge experience a plus.
  • Previous experience with mobile equipment (Frontend Loaders / Cranes) a plus.
  • Experience inspecting and performing basic repairs on equipment.
  • Logistics or inventory management experience.
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Computer knowledge,
  • Must be able to be on call one weekend a month.
