Position: Senior Instructor/System Operator (Computer Operator III)

Senior Instructor/System Operator (Computer Operator III)
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX

ATS is seeking a qualified Senior Instructor/System Operator (Computer Operator III) to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Contract with simulator training support - position is contingent upon contract award. Serves as the senior technical operator responsible for supervising EST II lane execution, troubleshooting system issues, and providing advanced instruction support during training events. Supports the site lead and serves in the site leads place when needed.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

1. System Operations:

  • Operate EST II control stations to manage training sequencing and AAR playback
  • Support various drills and exercises for Active, Reserve, and Guard units
  • Control video/audio playback functions to capture AAR teaching points

2. Training Support:

  • Assist in preparing and presenting weapons instruction
  • Conduct "Train the Trainer" support
  • Provide detailed shot feedback and corrective instruction

3. Maintenance:

  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance of hardware, consoles, and weapons
  • Load scheduled maintenance into TS-MATS
  • Perform daily upkeep of EST II facility

4. Reporting:

  • Support Monthly Status Reports
  • Assist Senior Lead in TS-MATS and usage tracking

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency operating weapon simulators to include the EST II
  • Knowledge of Windows-based software
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware/software systems
  • Capable of mentoring Computer Operator II staff
  • Ability to obtain CAC and meet installation security requirements
  • Strong leadership and instructional experience
