Job description:

Looking for a computer operator to monitor and operate electronic digital computers to process business, scientific, engineering, or other data according to operating instructions; sets control switches; ensure that correct peripheral equipment is utilized and move switches to clear system and operate the equipment; selects and loads input and output units with materials such as tapes and printout forms.

Observes equipment and control panels for operator messages or error indicators.

Sets up and runs diagnostic test and reacts appropriately to the messages and reports errors or machine malfunctions as required.

May perform clerical work incidental to machine operations such as labeling tape containers, maintaining production records, replenishing specified stock items, and distributing output materials.

Operates peripheral equipment to perform such operations as tape-to-printer.

May work with multiple systems.

Responsibilities:

• Scanning and Document Management: Scan documents, aperture cards, Wide Format Drawings, File Format conversions, Quality Control, Image/Edit cleanup, Post processing Delivery, Etc.

• Mail Services: Post Office Retrieve, Sort, Lookup, Site Route Deliveries and Pick Up, Mail Metering, Postage, Expenses, Post office Delivery, Etc.

• Engineering Support: Research, Retrieval, Receipt, Distribution, Data Document Update, Sign Out & In, Control, Printing, Laminating, Plotting, Archive, Scan, Audit, Etc.

• Records Retention: Research, Retrieval, New Box Requests, Box pick up, indexing, delivery, Returns, Records Retention Management System, Etc.

• Provide the proper customer support information handling in the proper format with agility in accordance with proper processes and procedures under lead guidance, supervision, and training.

Basic Qualifications for Computer Operator 1:

• High School diploma or equivalent and started additional education and/or related experience.

• At least 1-year hands-on experience with Scanning and Document Management, Engineering Support, Records Retention, and Mail Services.

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for Computer Operator 1:

• High School diploma or equivalent and started additional education and/or related experience.

• 1-year or more hands-on experience with Engineering Support, Scanning and Document Management, Records Retention, and Mail Services.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

• Prior military experience with a clean record is preferred but not required.

• High School diploma or equivalent and started additional education and/or related experience.
