Operations Administrative Manager

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including our war-wounded veterans. Working with customers from the U.S. military, commercial business and community partners – as well as federal, state and local governments – GCE is one of the country's largest private employers of persons with disabilities.

The Operations Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the process and duties as detailed in the PWS or other contracted services for the daily issue of food on a military installation. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Role Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a government/commercial kitchen with equipment and administrative responsibility, and in supervising or leading teams.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years computerized accounting experience in foodservice management or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years computer operations experience.
  • Must have experience dealing with government personnel/customers concerning contracted services.
  • Must have advanced computer knowledge (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
  • Must interact appropriately with customers and team members.
  • Must have good management communication (writing and verbal) and people skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
  • Must be able to pass organization screening

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk and frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The team member is required to be on his/her feet for extended periods. The team member frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. This job will require lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. and may require occasional lifting and or moving up to 40 pounds. There will be exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, and the noise level at the workplace is usually moderate.

Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. Will require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours and weekends and holidays.
