Job description

TEKsystems is seeking a PC Technician to support a government program on site at one of the below locations. This position requires an active Secret clearance, 3+ years of experience in desktop support, and one of the following certifications - CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Network+. *Positions will be on site in one of the following locations: Libby, MT, Concord, MA, San Francisco, CA, St Louis, MO, Bridgeport, WA or Mobile, AL* Responsibilities:
- Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware.
- Support responsibilities include software installation, and configurations.
- Performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.
- Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs.
- Troubleshoots printer, computer, and peripheral incidents, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
- May simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems. Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance
- CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+
- 3+ years of desktop support experience
- Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system.
