Job description

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Sets up and operates CNC Machine
§ Verification of Correct tooling on set up
§ Verification of gauges on set up
§ Obtaining and maintaining the correct threading tolerances required by customer and or API specifications
§ Optimize process to achieve maximum efficiency.
§ Perform daily maintenance check on machines and report concerns to Production Supervisor
§ Use and reading of all measurement devices required for maintaining tolerances
§ Documentation of work processes
§ Recognize and communicate any discrepancies or inconsistencies with Production Supervisor
§ End drift and full length drifting of materials
§ Verification of materials to work orders
§ Create and apply stencil information on materials serviced
§ Safely and efficiently follow work instruction given by the Production Supervisor
§ Reading and documentation of material lengths with a tally tape
§ Application of threading protectors
§ Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
§ Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
§ Ability to make decisions with out the presence of a supervisor
§ Train new hires or apprentices
§ Visual awareness and comprehension of torques and dope compounds
§ Maintains a clean safe work environment
§ Follows all safety policies and procedures
§ Understands and follows all aspects the company Quality Management System
.Qualification:
§ Must understand and have the knowledge to operate CNC lathes
§ Must have knowledge and understanding of API specifications
§ Must have at least 12 months training or previous work experience in threading connections, gauging and inspection operations and exhibit a comprehension of thread shop operations
§ Must have the ability to read and use all measurement gauges used in all threading applications and procedures
§ Must become familiar and know all tooling required for threading operations
§ Must comprehend basic mathematical calculations and equations
§ Must have ability to communicate with service hands and QC inspector in reference to torque values
§ Must have the ability to read and comprehend work orders
§ Must have the capability of working with minimum supervision
§ Must have the ability to listen and follow work instructions
§ Should have a willingness to advance and train in other positions
§ Should have received a minimum of 8hours of training in the gauging procedure, practices, tolerances, and concept of each connection type being gauged.
§ Shall have had a minimum of five hrs. training on the use of all scales, dial calipers, mics and metric tally tape and connection specifications.
§ Must be able to pass a Jaeger 2 vision test.
