Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM; Mandatory Overtime (Occasional Saturdays Required)

About the Position
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a leading manufacturer of custom heat exchanger coils, fluid coolers, and remote air-cooled condensers in Phoenix, AZ.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing quality experience who enjoys working with blueprints, measurements, and inspections while building a long-term career with a growing company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn and grow within the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Verify products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and coil model prints.
  • Compare multiple blueprint views and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and products and communicate findings to production teams.
  • Conduct routine and random quality audits throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Prioritize multiple inspection tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Navigate and review electronic documents, drawings, and quality records using basic computer applications.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of quality control or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including opening, reviewing, and saving electronic files.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to pass a tape measure proficiency test.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sheet metal, HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
