Key Wealth Management "KWM" has a long history (over 150 years) of providing trust, custody, and investment management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional/non-profit clients with over $40 billion in assets.
The Key Wealth Management Client Support & Experience Internship is a 10.5-week, operations- and enablement-focused experience that places the intern behind the scenes of the advisor platform - building the workflows, tools, and coaching infrastructure that allow client-facing teams to deliver a consistent, premium Key Private Bank experience.
Essential Functions
  • Map and streamline client-experience workflows across all Key Private Bank (KPB) business lines, identifying friction points where hand-offs between Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Planners can be simplified.
  • Deliver analysis and insights on the consistency and effectiveness of KPB Client Support & Experience teams, with a specific emphasis on automating manual, repeatable processes (e.g., Power Automate flows, SharePoint form intake, templated advisor communications).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive team experience by embedding directly with the Enablement Team and shadowing each team lead.
  • Partner with Line of Business leaders (Advisory, Portfolio Management, Trust, Planning) to translate their coaching needs into a recurring cadence and measurable follow-through. Other duties and projects assigned Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
  • Engage in Key Corp Enterprise learning labs and networking events.

Education
  • Pursuing a four-year degree or graduate level degree by May 2029 with focused coursework in, psychology, philosophy, communications, math, statistics, wealth management, finance, accounting, business, and/or economics (preferred)

Work Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork through past work experience and/or extracurricular activities. Outstanding academic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Skills
  • Time Management: ability to receive directions and manage line of business expectations by providing deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Problem Solving: Capability to identify issues and develop effective solutions in a financial services context.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to create and deliver presentations using tools like PowerPoint.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.

Physical Demands
  • General Office: Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in-person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Driving/Travel
  • Ability to routinely and frequently operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation and Benefits
This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $23 per hour. Compensation also includes a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
