Job description

What You'll Do:

Our Data Center Operations team is responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability, and performance of CoreWeave's data center environments. This team supports the hardware and infrastructure that power our services, ensuring critical systems remain operational in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.

About the role:

As a Data Center Technician, you will help ensure the overall availability and reliability of data center operations. This is a hands-on role focused on hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and support of mission-critical infrastructure. You will work onsite at one of our data center locations and may participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours operational needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability
  • Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
  • Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
  • Train internal teams
  • Develop documentation
  • Provide technical support to data center teams
  • Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
  • Maintain inventory
  • Assemble and install equipment
  • Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs
  • Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while scheduled on-call
Who You Are:
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems
  • Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing diagnostic and repair tasks
  • Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, including under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, including handling small hardware components and cables
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participation in a rotating on-call shift
  • Experience in data center environments
  • Experience with computer networking
  • Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $83,000. The starting salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
