What does a Computer Networker do?

A Computer Networker is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting computer networks within an organization. This includes maintaining network hardware and software, ensuring network security, and optimizing network performance. Computer Networkers play a key role in connecting computers and devices to enable efficient communication and data sharing. They may also provide technical support and resolve connectivity issues as they arise.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Computer Networker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Computer Networker, you need a solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting, often supported by a degree in information technology or computer science. Familiarity with network hardware, operating systems, and certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is typically required.
