Job description

Saalexย is seeking aย Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator in Camarillo, CAย to support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise network and computing environments. The selected candidate will provide expertise in network infrastructure management, routing and switching, wireless technologies, cybersecurity compliance, systems administration, and infrastructure modernization in support of mission-critical operations.

Position Type:ย Full-Time

Salary:ย $110k-$120k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location:ย Onsite.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, configure, implement, troubleshoot, operate, and maintain enterprise network and computer systems.
  • Administer and manage Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Base Area Networks (BANs).
  • Configure and support routing, switching, and network security solutions.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless (WiFi) network technologies.
  • Perform systems administration for enterprise computing environments.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DISA, NCDOC, and DoD requirements.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and harden network and computer systems.
  • Monitor, assess, and maintain network and system security to protect mission-critical operations.
  • Perform system sustainment activities, including patching, firmware updates, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Support infrastructure modernization initiatives and technology refresh efforts.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, system, and security issues to ensure operational availability.
  • Maintain documentation related to network architecture, configurations, and system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for enterprise network and computing environments.
  • Support mission-critical operations through reliable and secure infrastructure management.

Requirements

Required:

  • At least three (3) years of highly technical experience in network infrastructure management, including WAN/BAN management.
  • Ability to design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent experience demonstrating strong routing, switching, and network security skillsets.
  • Experience with wireless (WiFi) technologies, including development, implementation, and operational support.
  • Knowledge of network security and compliance requirements, including the ability to harden systems, apply STIGs, and follow DISA/NCDOC cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience supporting sustainment and maintenance activities, including patching, firmware updates, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization.

Education:

Bacherlors Degree. Associate's degree plus 4 years' additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Security Clearance:

Active Top Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
