Job Description

Short Description: State of NC's Div. of Employment Security (DES) seeks to procure one contractor, a Network Architect contractor role to assess/design changes to current DES network to support/monitor connectivity to SCUBI data center located in Dallas, TX run by Xerox.

Complete Description: Expected Skills: Ability to assess and design networks for enterprise systems that are distributed and require a high degree of encryption and security. Ability to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; ability to manage highly complex work efforts. This position requires an advanced degree in computer science and at least 10 years of experience in advance network design, development, and implementation.

Description (including, but not limited to):

Design of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network

Specialization in Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), network security, router security, FTP, disaster recovery, hot backups, TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure etc.

Must have at least 10 years' experience in network design, development and installation.

Must have advance network diagramming skills use a tool like Visio.
