JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY

Andersen Windows Corporation is seeking a Network Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions across corporate, logistics, and manufacturing environments. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business alignment, delivering scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions that enable operational excellence and long-term business growth.

The Network Solutions Architect will build strong internal partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing and other technical stakeholders, to identify opportunities, define solution strategies, and drive measurable value through innovative network designs. This role will also evaluate project requests, consult with business and technical users, and produce clear, structured technical analysis and documentation to support enterprise initiatives and informed decision-making.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and implement enterprise network solutions including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloudconnectivity.

  • Lead network modernization efforts and support hybrid & multi-cloud environments.

  • Collaborate with different teams to identify new client opportunities and create new modern strategies.

  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand client needs and recommend tailored solutions.

  • Design high-level network architecture build BOMs and SOWs, and present solutions to stakeholders.

  • Maintain a portfolio of relevant technologies and proactively drive interest and adoption.

  • Gain working knowledge of strategic partner portfolios and tools to support solution development.

  • Participate in peer reviews, kickoff meetings, and provide consultation during project onboarding.

  • Provide post-sales technical support when needed to ensure successful implementation.

  • Develop and maintain network standards, documentation, and best practices.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability across manufacturing and OT environments

  • Support network security initiatives in partnership with the cybersecurity team.

  • Assist in vendor selection and solution implementation.

  • Mentor junior engineers & admins and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

  • Keep professional certifications current and actively pursue technical development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, including 3+ years in architecture/design roles.

  • Expertise in SD-WAN, VPN, routing/switching, wireless, and cloud networking (Azure, AWS).

  • Expert knowledge of network architecture in a large environment.

  • Expert understanding of network protocols, design, performance and development.

  • Expert understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, including design and implementation.

  • Strong understanding of VLANs and networks supporting servers and storage.

  • Proven project planning and management experience.

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience supporting DHCP and DNS operations, design and implementation utilizing BlueCat or a similar system.

  • Working knowledge of VPNs, including remote access.

  • Proficient with monitoring and logging tools for access management and troubleshooting using such tools as Syslog, ACS, Netflow, Solarwinds and protocol analyzers.

  • Experience with ITSM functionalities such as change control, CMDB and ticket system.

  • Understanding disaster recovery, design, implementation, and testing.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to ensure performance, reliability and security in a dynamic 24x7x365 production network environment.

  • Written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Experience with platforms such as Palo Alto, F5, Juniper and Aruba.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE) are a plus.

COMPENSATION

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
