Now Hiring: Civil CAD Designer / Drafter

Are you a detail-oriented Civil CAD Designer / Drafter looking to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects in the power, transportation, water resources, and geotechnical engineering sectors? Cornforth Consultants – Landslide Technology (CCI-LT) is seeking a Civil CAD Designer/Drafter proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to join our collaborative team of engineers and geologists in our Beaverton, Oregon office.

About the Role

As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you’ll play a critical role in translating engineering concepts and markups into accurate, high-quality technical drawings and Civil 3D models. Using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools, you’ll support the development of plan sets, surface and corridor models, cross sections, and project deliverables that meet rigorous technical and industry standards.

You’ll work closely with a talented team of engineers and geologists in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to projects that support critical infrastructure across the United States.

What You’ll Do

· Develop and edit engineering drawings, report figures, plan sheets, surface and corridor models, cross-sections, and exhibits

· Support roadway design, quantity estimates, and infrastructure modeling using AutoCAD Civil 3D

· Collaborate with engineers to implement design updates and modifications

· Ensure consistency by maintaining company drafting standards

· Prepare and manage project documentation, graphics, and file libraries

· Convert and resize design data as project requirements evolve

· Produce accurate technical drawings for review and approval

· Promote a safe, professional, and team-oriented work environment

· Support additional project needs as required

What You Bring

· Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

· Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing project priorities

· Ability to interpret engineering sketches and, markups, and technical direction and translate them into precise CAD deliverables

Technical Proficiencies

· AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)

· Bentley InRoads / OpenRoads / ProjectWise (preferred)

· Adobe Illustrator

· Bluebeam Revu

· Microsoft Office Suite

Required Minimum Qualifications

· Associate’s degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or related field

· Minimum 3 years of CAD design/drafting experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects

· Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification highly preferred

· Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position at this time).

Job Details:

Status: Full-time, Hourly (Part-Time may be available) 

Work Schedule: Mon – Fri; remote work available 2 days per week, after orientation

Work Location: Beaverton Oregon

Hourly Rate: $31.25 – 40.86 per hour, DOE
