Job Position: CAD ENGINEERING MANAGER
Location: SWEETWATER, TN 37874
Salary: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year DOE

Description:
Growing Manufacturing Company is looking for an Engineering Manager in East TN.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day assignments of the team and generating metrics of group performance. The Engineering Manager ensures that processes and procedures are strictly adhered to by direct reports. The Engineering Manager oversees the planning, organizing, and controlling of the drawings in support of new products from initial stages of product conception to creating pristine drawings. The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the content through the product life cycle. Development and deployment of new processes in conjunction with the leadership may be required at times.
This person must demonstrate consistent and flawless performance, be highly dependable, scheduled and task driven, proactive and be able to work under minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow through with multiple assignments and to receive, assimilate and relay technical information accurately are critical.
This is a hands-on, working manager role for someone with CAD experience and knowledge.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Drives process improvements and efficiencies across the Engineering Team
• Assigning and monitoring work; establishing productivity standards; implementing new procedures and tracking key performance indicators.
• Owns the support and operation of all engineering software.
• Ensure technology requirements are up to date with the latest tools and software used in the industry.
• Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Key Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of engineers/ CAD designers.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD tool and Product Database Management.
• High level of computer proficiency.
• Business education or training is highly desirable.
