JLL Design has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAD professional to join our team in a dedicated, on-site capacity supporting a key manufacturing client. We are looking for a detail-driven technician who takes pride in the precision and integrity of built environment documentation, and who thrives working closely with facility stakeholders to maintain accurate, up-to-date records.

The Facilities Records Analyst will serve as a dedicated, full-time (40 hours per week) on-site resource at a Cordova, Illinois facility, partnering directly with the Plant Manager to assess existing conditions, maintain as-built documentation, and ensure the accuracy and accessibility of the facility's CAD database. This individual will coordinate across multiple business units and external partners to validate record conditions and uphold rigorous quality standards across all documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5-8 years' experience working on commercial CAD documentation, as-built drawing management, or facilities documentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or related field - or equivalent professional experience.
  • Intimate working experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD; proficiency in both is strongly preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to documentation accuracy and quality control.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess existing field conditions and translate findings into accurate CAD record updates.
  • Experience maintaining and organizing digital databases of as-built and record drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple business units and stakeholder groups to determine and validate record conditions.
  • Self-motivated and self-managed; able to work independently on-site with minimal oversight.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated, on-site CAD resource at a Cordova, Illinois facility, present 4-5 days per week.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to assess existing facility conditions and update CAD documentation to reflect accurate record conditions.
  • Conduct quality checks and quality control reviews of existing documentation against current field conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal business units and external partners (engineers, vendors, contractors) to determine and confirm proper record conditions.
  • Maintain and manage a well-organized digital database of as-built files, ensuring files are accessible, current, and version-controlled.
  • Engage alternate parties as needed - including engineers and other vendors - to support the accuracy and completeness of the documentation library.
  • Proactively identify discrepancies between drawn documentation and actual conditions, and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with facility stakeholders regarding documentation status, outstanding items, and project coordination.
  • Expected to be on-site at the Cordova, Illinois facility the majority of each work week, with occasional flexibility as project needs evolve.

Estimated compensation for this position:

70,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
