Job Title: CAD/BIM Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team and provide essential support to design teams on a variety of engineering and construction projects. This position is crucial in producing high-quality design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy, and facilitating coordination across disciplines using CAD and BIM tools. The role involves closely working with engineers and designers to develop and update construction documents, maintain standards, and support both design and construction phases.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support the development and publication of contract plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
  • Translate engineer markups and redlines into accurate drawings and model elements aligned with project standards.
  • Provide drafting support for a variety of engineering features across both vertical construction and civil site projects.
  • Review design documents and models for clarity, completeness, and compliance with AEC standards.
  • Document and communicate recommended corrections for discrepancies, omissions, or non-conformance issues.
  • Support the alignment and consistency of CAD and BIM standards across disciplines by identifying gaps and suggesting improvements.
  • Maintain and update CAD/BIM templates, families, and standard components to reflect current requirements.
  • Assist with updates to design files during construction phase changes.
  • Communicate technical concerns related to standards compliance to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing efforts, including Communities of Practice (COPs), and support team collaboration on best practices.
  • Help identify software training needs by gathering feedback from team members.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM workflows), and Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of AEC drafting and modeling standards.
  • Experience maintaining templates, standards, and libraries across CAD/BIM platforms.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct oversight.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited program preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in engineering design, including both vertical construction and site/civil projects.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a collaborative environment with engineers and designers. You will utilize technologies such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D to support and develop high-quality design deliverables. The position requires the ability to work independently, manage tasks without direct oversight, and contribute to team efforts in maintaining and updating CAD/BIM standards and practices.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
