Hours:
  • Must be able to work 12-hour schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, etc.) 8am to 8pm
  • Availability Sunday - Saturday 8 am to 8 pm

Salary: $24/hr and up (pending experience)
Major Job Function:
Our Quality Technician is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification. Ensure all QA test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear PPE.
  • Perform film inspection for all consumer packaging products and prepare COA data sheet for QA manager to review.
  • Perform film inspection for retain and security products.
  • Notify any problem regarding extrusion process to QA manager.
  • Perform incoming material inspection for railcar and truckload resins.
  • Perform daily cleaning and weekly deep clean for lab area according to AIB standard.
  • Keep lab equipment and instrument in good operational status; perform calibration and verification to these devices in accordance with ISO requirement.
  • Perform lab inspection and test for film brought in by QA manager and/ or Technical Manager. Prepare summary report for lab results.
  • Assistant to QA manager in generating work instruction and lab test method.
  • Organize and maintain extrusion process checklist and work order sheet. Maintain filing for extrusion paperwork.
  • Maintain and file retain samples for extrusion.
  • Support the extrusion department training activities for extrusion operators.
  • Must be able to work scheduled overtime.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Successful candidates will bring with them the following requirements and skills:
  • Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
  • Assistant to QA manager in generating work instruction and lab test method.
  • Keep lab equipment and instrument in good operational status; perform calibration and verification to these devices in accordance with ISO requirements.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
  • Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding quality, customer complaints, etc.
  • Ability to clearly set priorities on tasks and complete in a timely manner
  • Strong mathematical and attention to detail skills are a plus.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc
