Summary
Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services.

Classified position is announced to all applicants. Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, August 17, 2026.
3.5 hours per day/174 days per year /Salary Grade 3 $17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table)
(Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase for a promotion)
GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.
2. The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test.
3. Interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer may be required.
