Job description

Provides administrative support to the Student Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church - Plano Campus ("PBC-PC").

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for LifeGroups, including:
    • Updating rosters
    • Preparing weekly communication updates
  • Assist with tracking student participation and identifying students in need of follow up and outreach
  • Assist with assigning guest follow-up responsibilities to the appropriate ministry staff
  • Submit check requests, purchase orders, contract requests and other financial related items and ensure compliance with PBC policies
  • Understand fully the PBC church programming software
  • Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
  • Provide administrative support for events and trainings
  • Order supplies, gifts, flowers, etc. for ministry participants' notable occasions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-PC
  • Some college, college degree preferred
  • Prior experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and Canva
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work Mondays and two additional days per week, with flexibility for occasional Sundays and PBC events
  • Able to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time and to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
