Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals,
ensuring smooth patient care and efficient clinic operations. This role involves working closely
with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to assist in the delivery of high-quality patient
care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering phones and properly completing the task (refill/lab results/reschedule)
  • Scheduling appointments/rescheduling if needed
  • Opening notes for the provider
  • Rooming patients, verifying demographics/pharmacy/insurance/phone
  • Completing vitals and properly entering into EHR
  • Verifying medications
  • Calling patient back with lab results, documenting the phone contact
  • FMH tasks daily
  • Drug precertification
  • Checking patients out (making next appointment, entering labs/xrays)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and
    other regulatory standards.
  • Follow infection control policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred
    but not mandatory

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
