Job description

There is an opening for a Quality Engineer for Ellwood National Forge. The position will be based in Irvine, PA, however assignments and duties will include the Corry and Warren Facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to those detailed below:
JOB DUTIES:
  • Prepare quality plans and manufacturing process plans.
  • Conduct sales order reviews for quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures
  • Lead preventative and corrective action efforts including QI Teams
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits
  • Assist in the Test Lab and in Inspection, including assessing and coordinating upcoming inspection requirements for Irvine and the Warren plants.
  • Assist in the Test Lab and in Inspection to ensure accuracy, reliability and calibration integrity of dimensional inspection equipment
  • Maintain compliance with the requirements of ISO Standards
  • Travel required to the Warren plant as well as other Ellwood facilities
  • Provide support and training as required to insure compliance to established procedures
  • As well as any other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time to support the business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or technically related field
  • Familiarity with the requirements of ISO Standards
  • Ability to analyze large quantities of data and write technical reports
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Strong Interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Personal Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Able to organize and prioritize work load.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with Government/Military Specifications
  • Nondestructive testing (NDT) experience
  • Prior Supervisory or other Leadership Experience
  • Prior Testing and/or Quality Experience in the Metals Industry
