Job description

JOB.TITLE, OU.LOCATION, CUSTOM.STATE

Interfor is seekingenergetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a JOB.TITLE in OU.LOCATION.Starting rate for this position is 51.245 per hour.

 What You'll Do

  •  Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and controls for our Sawmill, Planermill and Kiln hot oil systems.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and repair PLC and HMI systems.
  • Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.

What You Offer

  • Sawmill, planermill and energy systems experience preferred.
  • Must be a Red Seal certified journeyman industrial electrician.
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience, motion control, and the ability to troubleshoot VFD drives, optimizer systems, and scanners.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
  • Be a positive contributor to a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a multi-shift work schedule.
  • FSR qualification would be considered an asset.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Desire, to progress, learn, grow and succeed.
  • Recognize problems and have them corrected immediately.
  • Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things.
