Job description

Reports to: Director of Enterprise Platforms

Collaborates with: Information Technology, Software Development, Sales, Engineering, Tech Services, Product Management, Project Management

Primary Responsibility: A Systems Analyst supports and evolves enterprise platforms used across Engineering, Operations, EHS, Sales, Product Management, Project Management, and Field Service. This role helps improve cross-department efficiency by enhancing functionality, maintaining data and system integrity, supporting platform configuration, and driving integration work across business-critical systems. Key platforms may include tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk, Cority, COMPRESS, kBridge, PTC Creo, and related applications. This role supports daily operations, key projects, integrations, and long-term scalability of tools used across the business.

What You'll Do:

Enterprise Platform Enhancements

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into scalable system changes.
  • Configure, support, and enhance enterprise platforms across CAD, product modeling, EHS, quoting, configuration, ERP, CRM, CPQ, and operational workflows.
  • Evaluate opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and improve system usability.

System Support & Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, data issues, workflow issues, and system errors across enterprise platforms and integrated systems.
  • Triage, prioritize, and track user-reported issues with business stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date system documentation, configuration notes, support procedures, and process flows.
  • Support platform administration, vendor coordination, configuration changes, data quality, and ongoing system improvements.

Integrations & Automation

  • Support and maintain integrations between ERP, CRM, CPQ, CAD/modeling systems, EHS platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Partner with internal developers and external vendors to support APIs, data flows, file-based integrations, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Automate manual processes using low-code/no-code tools, workflow engines, integration platforms, and system-specific automation capabilities.
  • Help ensure data consistency between platforms that support quoting, engineering, operations, compliance, and reporting.

Deployment & Change Management

  • Participate in system testing, UAT, release planning, and deployment activities to ensure smooth and reliable changes.
  • Coordinate with QA, admin, business, and vendor teams to validate functionality across environments before production release.
  • Document changes clearly and communicate impacts to affected users and stakeholders.
  • Support adoption of new tools, workflows, and enhancements through training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Help ensure changes are delivered in a controlled, traceable, and sustainable manner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between Engineering, Operations, EHS, Sales, Field Service, Product Management, Project Management, and IT to support end-to-end solution design.
  • Promote adoption of new tools and workflows by explaining capabilities, limitations, options, and tradeoffs.
  • Translate technical details into clear business language for non-technical users.
  • Work with business teams to understand current processes before recommending system changes.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve platform ownership, support processes, and long-term scalability.

What Qualifies You

  • 5 to 15 years in a Systems Analyst, Software Developer, Platform Engineer, Business Systems Analyst, or Systems Administrator role. (Experience level will determine SA II or SA III placement.)
  • Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, or administering enterprise business platforms in a professional environment.
  • Experience with engineering, manufacturing, EHS, CAD/modeling, ERP, CRM, CPQ, or other business-critical platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk, Cority, COMPRESS, kBridge, PTC Creo, Salesforce, Logik.io, Syspro, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Experience maintaining and prioritizing a work backlog, preferably using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitHub.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and how they connect with other business platforms.
  • Understanding of APIs, data flows, system integration concepts, and cross-platform dependencies.
  • Experience partnering with vendors, internal developers, administrators, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and improve systems.
  • Familiarity with deployment, release management, version control, or configuration management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document clearly and translate technical details for non-technical users.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience with 3D product modeling, CAD systems, engineering applications, or design tools integrated with ERP, CPQ, or other business platforms.
  • Familiarity with database concepts such as SQL, data schemas, reporting structures, and data transformation.
  • Familiarity with integration, automation, and low-code tools such as MuleSoft, Zapier, Power Automate, Power Apps, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Professional experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Organized, methodical, and focused on continuous improvement.
