ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Design and implement progressive Quality strategies and objectives that support the company's Vision, Mission, Values, and long-term objectives.
2. Manage all aspects of the Quality System Department to include department budget, personnel, policies & procedures, organizational responsibilities & functions, and related KPI's. Responsible for reporting quality system KPI's and status to executive management and ensuring collaboration with cross functional teams to develop improvements and address countermeasures for identified deficiencies.
3. Responsible for overseeing the internal and external Quality System auditing process to include supporting quality system local, corporate, and customer certification audits. Responsible for maintaining the site IATF 16949 automotive certification to include serving as the site management representative and coordinating / managing site certification audits and internal auditing team.
4. Ensure that updates to internal, corporate, industry, and customer standards / requirements are communicated to the site. Identify, develop, implement, train and administer appropriate policies, procedures, and workflows in accordance with these standards / requirements.
5. Oversee site 8D & Scrap monitoring functions and ensure cross-functional teams are formed for the review and resolution of non-conformance or non-compliance to standards and/or regulations as required.
6. Direct and exercise authority for planning, organization, control, integration and implementation of quality system improvements and initiatives.
7. Oversee the site document control function and ensure maintenance of all quality records and documentation in accordance with local and global company standards, Quality Manual/Document Control procedures and specific customer requirements.
8. Responsible for overseeing implementation and administration of site quality system initiatives such as site customer portals, Layered Process Audit, Shop Floor document creation and any other quality system initiatives deemed necessary by the organization.
9. Support pass thru part maintenance activities per customer needs to include change management, PPAP submission, 8D, and return part activities.
10. Support APQP activities per system requirements and direct APQP changes and focus teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A bachelor's degree in a technical field with over ten (10) years relevant experience.
2. Understanding of Automotive Industry Standards and requirements a must. Strong experience with and understanding of the Quality Management System IATF 16949 & ISO9001 requirements and standards. Understanding of the ISO14001 standard is a plus. Must have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.
3. Strong understanding of industry core tools and documents. Including PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Chart and drawings (GD&T).
4. Strong oral and written communications skills with ability to communicate to personnel at all levels of the organization and with diverse international backgrounds.
5. Strong project management skills; excellent organizational skills and flexibility for multi-task situations; good problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to motivate and direct a team to accomplish goals.
7. Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience is required. Experience hiring, conducting performance reviews, and taking corrective action.
8. Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some Access experience preferred.

Responsible for the direction and supervision of employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderately quiet. The performance of the duties of this position require exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment.
