Purpose:

The Principal IT Finance Analyst acts as a key liaison with Finance Business Function subject matter experts (SME) and IT, ensuring smooth operation, enhancement, and integration of Finance business systems. The role includes supporting business processes requirements, managing change, leading projects, handling integrations, coordinating upgrades, evaluating solutions, and maintaining system health across SaaS and other applications in the Finance function. The primary customers include all internal global finance customers. 

Essential Responsibilities:   

1. Business Partnership & Requirements  

  • Collaborate with Business SMEs, BPOs to understand evolving needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document new or changed requirements.
  • Support change management and enhance user experience.
  • Assist business teams in navigating IT support channels.
  • Lead or participate in project work, including requirement analysis and documentation.  

2. Solution Evaluation & Project Leadership/Participation

  • Evaluate software and solution options based on business needs.
  • Lead or participate in RFP processes.
  • Support implementation partner selection and vendor evaluations.
  • Manage IT components of assigned projects including planning, execution, and communication.
  • Develop and communicate support and operational processes.  

3. System Integrations

  • Collaborate with IT Enterprise Architecture to identify secure and efficient integration methods.
  • Work with IT delivery teams to design, build, test, and implement integrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for integration architecture and processes.  

4. Maintenance & Support

  • Monitor overall system and environment health across supported platforms.
  • Ensure systems and dependent technologies are kept current.
  • Regularly review release notes, analyze technical changes, and coordinate with business stakeholders.
  • Highlight system changes or impacts to Architecture, Security, and other IT teams.
  • Lead and support planning and execution of system upgrades as required.
  • Communicate ITplanned changes and their potential impacts to business teams.
  • Track and manage key & certificate renewals.
  • Develop new and maintain current documentation for processes and support frameworks.  

5. Acquisition Support

  • Facilitate early access to corporate financial systems for newly acquired entities.
  • Enable data integration between acquired systems and Corporate Finance (FI) platforms.
  • Assess and help rationalize redundant technologies postacquisition.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Project management experience successfully leading many small to medium size projects
  • Knowledge or hands on experience with multiple integration methods. 
  • Experience workings with SaaS applications and cloud-based systems. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • High sense of ownership and accountability. 
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving ability. 
  • Ability to document processes, requirements, and support materials effectively. 
  • Desire and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes. 
  • Experience working with audit requirements and controls. 
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications or platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or similar field
  • 6 years of experience in IT
