This is a full-time remote career opportunity within the Fulton Bank footprint as follows: DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA. The position will require occasional travel to Lancaster, PA.

This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, release management, and optimization of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems. This role serves as a technical lead to HR and business stakeholders, ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, and user-friendly functionality. The incumbent translates technical concepts into accessible solutions for end users across all levels of the organization. They lead system upgrades and troubleshoot issues. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including supporting HR Leadership, mentoring peers, and supporting other HR System Administrators. Drives HRIS best practices including exploration and use of artificial intelligence and automated workflows.


  • System Design, Configuration & Ongoing Administration: Supports the design, configuration, and deployment of HRIS functionality across HCM and related modules (e.g., Core, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Comp). Evaluate business processes and recommend system enhancements that streamline workflows and improve user experience. Build and maintain HRIS objects, including business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, security roles, and integrations as assigned. In partnership with various stakeholders, builds, manages, and troubleshoots API and SFTP integrations; resolves data feed issues and develops new integrations as needed.
  • Testing Strategy & Execution: Partner with IT in developing and execute comprehensive test plans for new features, system changes, security updates, and Workday releases. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with functional partners and ensure timely defect tracking, resolution, and validation. Maintain testing documentation, scripts, and regression test assets as directed by IT.
  • Release & Change Management: Own HRIS biannual release cycles, including feature analysis, tenant preview testing, impact assessment, and deployment planning. Partner with stakeholders to evaluate optional features and determine adoption strategy. Support HRIS change management processes to ensure governance, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Data Integrity, Reporting, & Security: Ensure data accuracy through ongoing audits, data validation routines, and proactive issue resolution. Build and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards, enabling data driven decision making. Administer system security, ensuring appropriate role assignments, access controls, and segregation of duties.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration & Support: Serve as an HRIS subject matter expert and trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, IT, and operational leaders. Provide tier III support for system issues and inquiries, troubleshooting effectively and recommending long term solutions. Develop and deliver training materials, job aids, and communications to guide end users through new features and processes. Provides technical support and training to HR team members and end users; translates system functionality into practical guidance.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Engage with the Workday community to stay current on new functionality and proactively recommend system enhancements.
  • Support HR Business Continuity from an HRIS perspective.
  • Partner with the FP&A Workday Adaptive System Administrator on use of human capital data.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialty: not applicable at this level. (Required)

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or Human Resources Management with a focus on HRIS/HR Operations. (Preferred)

Experience

6 or more years HR Operations, HRIS, or People Operations roles with a demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources, IT, and business acumen. (Required)

3 or more years HRIS Experience in Workday with hands on configuration, involvement in Workday releases, tenant moves, and module deployments. (Required)

Certifications

Workday certification in any (or combination of) of the following HCM Core, Recruiting, Advance Compensation, Absence/Time Tracking, Reporting & Prism Analytics, Security, Integrations. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated skills in configuring and administering Workday modules such as Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Learning, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Peakon, and People Analytics. (Required)
  • Expertise in Workday position management, supervisory organization design, job profile configuration, uploads, and advanced reporting. (Preferred)
  • Experience building and troubleshooting integrations (API, SFTP), calculated fields, and compensation/equity matrices. (Preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, IF formulas, data analysis) and strong data fluency. Data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Other technical skills include SQL and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) fundamentals, understanding of testing framework (UAT, regression, QA) and change management framework (Required)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with understanding of project management fundamentals that delivers outcomes in fast-paced, highly governed/compliance driven, deep internal control environment. (Required)
  • Clear communication skills, with the right amount of balance to communicate technical complexities to end users who may not have the same level of technical expertise. (Required)

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $91,000.00 - $151,600.00 annually.


Additional Compensation Components

This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
