Job description

The Job The Innovation and Technology Department (ITD) is looking for an experienced and motivated Enterprise Infrastructure Systems Analyst* to help manage and maintain essential IT infrastructure. This role will be part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Division, focusing on Server Operating systems that support the County's enterprise IT environment. This position will primarily provide maintenance and support for the full Windows Server Operating System lifecycle with a secondary role supporting RedHat Linux.

This role is essential to ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of enterprise technology systems. Key Responsibilities may include: Install, maintain, and support Operating system software and configurations OS Security Baselines and Hardening Windows fail over clusters End Point Security Managing system performance, capacity planning and upgrades Active Directory Administration Windows DNS Management Group Policy Usage of 3rd Party Management tools *Official job title: Systems Support Analyst II; for more detailed information, refer to the Systems Support Analyst II class specification. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Incumbent must successfully complete a background investigation (fingerprinting and work history/education check) in addition to a job-related physical exam, including a drug test. Availability: Incumbents must be available to work different shifts. The County pays an hourly differential for those employees working night shifts.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is unable to consider candidates who require Visa Sponsorship at this time or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States. Minimum Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent work experience, within the past five (5) years, performing systems administration at the enterprise-level.

Experience must include at least two (2) of the following: Administration of physical and virtual Windows Server Operating Systems Administration of Active Directory Administration of Windows DNS Administration of Windows Group Policy Administration of End Point Security Administration of Windows OS Security Baselines and Hardening -AND- REQUIRED EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester/(45 quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited** university or technical school in Computer Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application unless a degree in one of the listed fields has been conferred. SUBSTITUTION FOR EDUCATION: An additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.

**Qualifying degrees and coursework must be conferred by institutions accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Degrees earned outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation from a recognized credential evaluation service verifying U.S

equivalency. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following: An Associate's Degree (or higher) in computer information systems or a closely related field. One year of full-time equivalent work experience, within the past five (5) years, performing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems administration.

RedHat OS Security Baselines and Hardening Knowledge and experience with Enterprise class storage platforms Knowledge and experience with Enterprise data protection/backup systems Knowledge and experience with VMWare vCenter, Cisco UCS, Dell and F5 Infrastructure. Knowledge and experience with supporting and designing high-availability infrastructure Knowledge and experience disasterrecoveryplanningand execution Candidates should detail any related experience/education in these areas on the application and supplemental questionnaire.
