This role is required to report to our Cambridge office 3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
About Us
EverQuote is a leading AI-powered growth solutions partner for regulated property and casualty insurance entities, enabling the largest insurance carriers and thousands of agents to maximize customer acquisition across digital channels. Fueled by our proprietary data assets and our AI traffic engine, EverQuote is transforming the way providers attract and engage consumers to grow market share.
Joining our team puts you at the forefront of this transformation. You will collaborate with a group of builders to solve complex problems and reshape a massive industry. If you want to drive real-world impact and do the best work of your career, you've found your home. We move fast, follow the data, and hold ourselves to high standards. If that's how you work too, this is the role for you.
About the Role
As EverQuote scales, we are transforming our People function into a true competitive advantage-and technology is the engine that will get us there.
We are seeking a highly strategic, execution-oriented HRIS Manager to serve as the technical architect and systems visionary for our People team. Reporting to the Head of People, you will work hand-in-hand as a peer to our People Operations Manager. While they focus on the employee lifecycle and operational excellence, you will own the systems, data, and automation strategies that make that excellence possible.
Your immediate mandate is critical: guide our UKG Ready implementation across the finish line. But your purview extends far beyond a single platform. You will own the complete HR technology ecosystem-including Greenhouse, Lattice, and other supporting tools-ensuring they communicate seamlessly and are leveraged to their fullest potential.
Furthermore, as EverQuote invests deeply in AI across the business, you will serve as the functional AI Champion for the People team. You are someone who refuses to accept "the way it's always been done." You have a relentless drive to optimize workflows, deploy cutting-edge tools, and turn raw employee data into clean, actionable dashboards that drive executive decision-making. If you love the puzzle of systems architecture, geeking out over automation, and building scalable tech foundations that directly impact the employee experience, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
  • Drive the UKG Ready Implementation: Successfully project manage and complete our current UKG Ready implementation. Ensure system configuration, testing, and rollout are seamless, and drive strong user adoption across the business.
  • Maximize Our Systems Strategy: Don't just maintain the HRIS; unlock its potential. Be the internal expert and go-to resource for getting the absolute most out of our technology stack, ensuring our systems are built for scale, compliance, and user experience.
  • Champion AI & Automation: Act as the vanguard for AI within the People Ops function. Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and advanced automation to eliminate manual tasks, optimize workflows, and win back strategic bandwidth for the entire team.
  • Relentlessly Optimize Workflows: Partner closely with the People Operations team to audit existing processes. Redesign and automate everything from onboarding flows to compensation cycles, ensuring technology does the heavy lifting.
  • Lead People Analytics & Dashboards: Transform complex people data into clear, actionable insights. Build and maintain automated dashboards reporting on headcount, attrition, and total rewards to help business leaders make proactive, data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure Data Integrity & Security: Act as the ultimate gatekeeper for our people data. Establish rigorous auditing processes, role-based permissions, and compliance standards (spanning US and Northern Ireland considerations) to keep our data pristine and secure.

What You Bring to the Team
  • 5+ years of dedicated HRIS experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience with a proven track record of owning systems strategy and architecture at a growing, multi-location organization.
  • UKG Ready Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing UKG Ready is a must. You know the system's quirks, its capabilities, and how to push it to its limits.
  • A "Builder's" Mindset for AI and Tech: You aren't just reading about AI; you are actively experimenting with it. You have a demonstrable history of using technology to automate processes, reduce friction, and solve complex business problems.
  • Strong Analytical Chops: You are highly proficient with data manipulation and visualization. You know how to extract data from an HRIS and format it into compelling, easy-to-read dashboards (experience with BI tools or advanced Excel/Sheets is expected).
  • A Collaborative, Execution-Focused Approach: You thrive in a partnership model. You excel at translating technical constraints into plain language for non-technical peers, and you take pride in delivering solutions that make your colleagues' jobs easier.
