ROLE: Seasonal Warehouse Helper and Runner

*This is a temporary seasonal position*

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Seasonal Warehouse Helper & Parts Runner will be responsible for performing deliveries to multiple locations as needed, receiving deliveries, preparing job materials, and handling returns to vendors. The employee will be supporting various warehouse functions and performing duties as assigned for the needs of the business daily. The goal of every employee-owner on this team is to provide a 5-Star experience for customers and co-workers alike while practicing and promoting our mission statement and core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be responsible for pickup and delivery of HVAC & Plumbing related items
  • Pickup, receive, verify, load, and deliver equipment and materials as needed per job
  • Receive inventory into our inventory management system
  • Sort and locate each part and place in proper warehouse location
  • Correctly complete all paperwork and/or computer input required for each job
  • Accurately maintain and organize inventory
  • Establish and demonstrate effective working relationships
  • Maintain company vehicle, warehouse, and lot cleanliness
  • Represent the Home Service Team in a manner that conveys the 5-Star experience for fellow employee-owners and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma, completion of G.E.D. - Preferred
  • Experience in Warehousing-Preferred
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computer (i.e. smartphone, tablet).
  • Possess a current, valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • The ability to remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs
  • Strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment, tools, products, and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
