MISSION FOCUS
Electronics Technicians at NT Concepts help our clients explore, adapt, troubleshoot, and integrate novel technology capabilities. Our technicians are critical components of NT Concepts client delivery and value chain. Technicians will maintain the novel solutions for our clients with national defense missions.
Our Electronics Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, precision, and readiness of advanced electronic systems. Your expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware will directly contribute to the performance and resilience of capabilities deployed in the most demanding operational environments. By delivering dependable, high-quality work complying with CMMI and ISSO standards, you will help safeguard critical missions, protect warfighters, and uphold the technical excellence our defense and intelligence clients rely on.
Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI preferred.
Location/Flexibility: Primary work location is Chantilly, VA, with additional work in Vienna, VA. Position offers 10-15% hybrid flexibility, though the majority of work will be performed in Chantilly, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment, systems, and components in accordance with engineering specifications and technical manuals.
  • Perform functional and performance tests on circuit boards, sensors, communications equipment, and other electronic assemblies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure systems meet operational readiness and reliability standards.
  • Support integration of electronic components into larger hardware and software systems for defense and mission-critical applications.
  • Document test results, maintenance actions, and repair procedures for configuration management and quality control.
  • Collaborate with engineers, integrators, and program managers to resolve technical issues and implement design improvements.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols, and applicable military/industry regulations.
  • Assist in field deployments, equipment upgrades, and system acceptance testing in operational environments.
  • Interpret blueprints and/or mechanical drawings and work from assembly instructions or specification documents
  • Basic computer skills to access and interpret work instructions and procedures
  • Multi-task and adapt to changing job assignments quickly

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a high school diploma with 3+ years of experience assembling, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems or components.
  • Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI preferred.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of electronic theory, circuitry, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, and cable assembly to applicable standards.
  • Familiarity with ESD protection procedures and safe handling of sensitive electronic components.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both lab and field environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills for maintenance logs and test reports.
  • Proficient using hand tools and battery-operated tools
  • Prior Experience with Class 1 Soldering required
  • Prior Experience with SMT Rework/Board Heaters (preferred)

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing or working in a field environment
  • Periods of working around large and mobile machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
