  • Position Summary
    • The Speech Therapist is a qualified professional person who directs, supervises, evaluates and provides Speech therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician. Maintains open communications and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation.
  • Education
    • Masters of Healthcare - Required
  • Experience
    • 1 Year clinical - Preferred
    • Able to communicate in an understandable manner. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • License & Certification
    • Professional License with State of Practice - Required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
  • Core Job Functions
    • Completes all required documentation. Assess patient's personal abilities and limitations and requests assistance in situations that exceed limitations utilizing supervisor and others in authority appropriately.
    • Completes all required documentation according to Agency policies and procedures. Collaborates with all personnel through patient Team Conference to identify, clarify and respond to the needs of the patient.
    • Performs therapeutic modalities and observations needed to provide direct care. Develops home exercise program to and instructs patient and caregiver needs for equipment. Evaluate, treat and instructs patients and caregivers using different equipment and modalities commensurate with therapy guidelines.
