Job description

Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The System Verification Intern will get hands on experience at multiple levels of software development and testing. You will be developing and creating automated tests, including automated regression, stress, and load testing of applications for both PC and embedded software applications. You will learn to clearly document defects found with all steps needed to re-produce the issue as well as document the overall results of a test cycle.

This Internship is Onsite, based in our Skokie, IL location.

Responsibilities
  • Support the testing and validation of integrated hardware and software systems.
  • Assist in developing and executing test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and troubleshoot system-level issues.
  • Document test results and contribute to continuous improvement of verification processes.
  • Gain hands-on experience with lab equipment, test tools, and real-world product platforms.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback from a verification perspective.
Qualifications
  • Currently Pursuing a college degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Detail oriented individual.
  • Basic understanding of Wireless transmitters and receivers
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Python, C, C++, java script, HTML, SQL, and other scripting languages
