Job description:
Mulhaupts, one of the most trusted names in automation, security, access control, doors and door hardware, is hiring Full-Time, benefits eligible Security Technicians to install, program, test, and repair security, video surveillance, access control, and fire alarm systems.
We are looking for self-starters to join our team of Security Technicians to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability by servicing customer equipment to the customers’ ongoing satisfaction and setting minimum performance standards.
Qualified candidates are knowledgeable in electronic equipment, computer hardware and software including applications and programming and basic network installation and troubleshooting. Experience in building and construction is preferred as well as excellent communication skills and critical thinking.
Responsibilities include:
  • Install, program, test, or repair electronic systems, devices, and related equipment, following system design and building plans.
  • Trouble shoot systems to identify problems and make necessary repairs to restore proper functionality.
  • Test systems and individual components, programming, and all system design features in order to ensure proper operation.
  • Install cables in wire trays, through hooks or hangers, and in wall cavities, attics, and crawl spaces, and terminate at devices and panels.
  • Read, understand, and follow wiring diagrams, system specifications, and programming and installation manuals.
  • Properly complete required paperwork and documentation including work orders, records of completion, and test and inspection forms.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and advise on system operation and alarm procedures.
  • Project a Customer Service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers.

Requirements:
  • Valid current driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to travel independently in company vehicles to job sites.
  • Basic networking knowledge including ability to install and configure residential grade network routers.
  • Knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory and ability to use a multi-meter.
  • Frequent standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and working overhead
  • Must pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.
