We are seeking a diligent Point-of-Sale (POS) Specialist to take care of our Point-of-sale needs. The POS specialist will be involved in new and current venue installations, upgrading components, menu programming, assisting with hardware and software administration.

To be successful as the Point of Sale Specialist, candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installing new software and hardware components.
  • Regularly evaluating our POS systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
  • Assisting with network administration tasks.
  • Resolving all issues coworkers have with their POS systems and software.
  • Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of our POS network.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the restaurant industry, preferably as a restaurant assistant manager, bartender, server, or in a related role, providing you with a deep understanding of the hospitality sector.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication ability, both written and verbal.
  • Strong working knowledge of the POS software.
  • Strong working knowledge of POS database programing.
  • The ability to travel on behalf of the company for installations or preventative maintenance.
