Job Summary:

The Front-End Software Engineer will oversee application development and maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of systems while enhancing user experiences through UI design and integration with backend logic.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees development and installation of new hardware and software
• Provides advice and recommendations to management on processes and techniques required for improved work operations
• Installs and configures systems and other software
• Tests installed software for malfunction detection
• Identifies and resolves business systems issues
• Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
• Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
• Develops and implements strategies to improve systems
• Monitors and tests system performance
• Oversees the training of junior engineers to improve job skills and work efficiency
• Maintains full ownership of a process typically
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
• May act as a procedural expert
• Build and refine UI for web applications using Razor views, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Translate business requirements into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
• Improve usability, layout, and visual consistency across applications
• Work within ASP.NET MVC to integrate UI with backend logic
• Collaborate with backend engineers to improve workflows and user experience
• Identify and proactively address UX and UI issues
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Seven (7) years of experience
• Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objective
• Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
• Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debugging
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong executional capabilities
• Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and how to integrate them
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design skills
• Solid Bootstrap 5 understanding
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals (including jQuery or similar DOM manipulation)
• Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Razor view engine
• Experience building polished, production-ready UI in server-rendered applications
• Ability to work comfortably across both frontend and MVC view layers
• Eye for layout, spacing, visual hierarchy, and usability
Preferred:
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with design systems or reusable component libraries
• Experience modernizing legacy UI or progressively enhancing older applications
