The Quality Engineer Intern will assist the quality engineering team in ensuring that products are manufactured to meet the highest quality standards. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality control, testing, data analysis, and process improvement techniques while supporting various initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Other duties include:

  • Assist in Quality Assurance (QA) Activities:
    • Support in the inspection, testing, and auditing of products.
    • Assist with gathering and analyzing data to track product quality performance.
    • Perform product and process analysis to identify areas of improvement.
  • Document Control:
    • Help maintain and organize quality documentation, test reports, and process control records.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the documentation.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Assist in the identification of process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
    • Work with senior engineers on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Root Cause Analysis:
    • Participate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes of quality issues.
    • Support the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Support Product Testing:
    • Assist in the setup and execution of product testing and quality validation processes.
    • Ensure that products meet established specifications and standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the manufacturing, engineering, and design teams to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss quality issues and project progress.
To qualify for this role you must meet the following:
  • Degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in products and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience with quality control tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA).
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software or other engineering tools.
