Job Summary:
InterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise with over 18 years of experience in IT Consulting Services. The Tier 2 Desktop Support Consultant will provide technical support for hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring smooth operations as part of a 24/7 onsite support team.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 2 support as part of a 24/7 onsite operations team
• Install, configure, update, and maintain desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Provide Microsoft Windows and Apple OS support
• Perform system administration tasks including user account management
• Support enterprise applications and Oracle client-based systems
• Coordinate project requirements with business and technical departments
• Conduct hardware and software technical reviews and evaluations
• Support MTA users with computer-related services and technical troubleshooting
• Assist in documentation, procedure development, and IT process improvements
• Ensure adherence to enterprise IT standards and security protocols
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4–6 years of Tier 2 IT Support experience
• CMP10 Certification (Required)
• Strong experience with computer hardware, printers, digital senders, and peripherals
• Experience supporting Symbol handheld devices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP/7/8/10 (desktop & mobile)
• Experience with Microsoft Office 2016, Microsoft Suite, Exchange/Outlook 2016
• Experience with HP Jet Admin
• Strong experience supporting Apple Operating Systems
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
• Experience with Oracle client-based applications
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience with Cisco networking devices
• Knowledge of Ethernet cabling
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, multicast, networking fundamentals)
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Preferred:
• Experience with Visio, CAD, and technical drawing
• Experience with Unix, Linux, and Solaris environments
• Experience with Red Hat Linux
• Experience working in VMware environments
• Experience investigating, analyzing, designing, developing, and evaluating enterprise IT procedures and requirements
