Help Deliver the Infrastructure Behind the Digital Economy
Building and expanding hyperscale data centers requires expertise, coordination, and relentless attention to detail. As demand for technology and connectivity continues to grow, critical infrastructure projects must be delivered safely, efficiently, and at scale. Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (MIS) serves as the General Contractor and EPC delivery arm of the Michels Family of Companies, delivering some of North America's most complex mission-critical and hyperscale infrastructure projects. Our teams support the planning, construction, and execution of large-scale developments that power the technologies businesses and communities rely on every day.
Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of data center site development and heavy civil construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, customers, and other stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, collaborating across teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects that support technology, connectivity, and economic growth.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams with planning, scheduling, and coordination activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and civil plans to support project execution and field operations.
  • Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and project records to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, and procurement activities for project materials and services.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams to resolve technical and constructability challenges.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting in Procore or other construction management platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Support the successful delivery of hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and engineering plans.
  • Assist with developing project plans, schedules, and documentation packages.
  • Work closely with field personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to coordinate construction activities.
  • Participate in quality control, progress tracking, and project reporting efforts.
  • Help identify project risks and develop practical solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.

  • We are part of the Michels Family of Companies, one of North America's largest and most diversified energy and infrastructure contractors.

Benefits may vary based on position and location.
Why You?
