Job description

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring an CAD Engineering Technician to join our dynamic Site Civil Team. 

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.    #LI-SN1

What You Will Do as a CAD Engineering Technician at Woolpert:

  • Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards. 
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs. 
  • Work with project management teams toidentifyimpediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles. 
  • Performsite due diligenceassessments and compile data and reports. 
  • Perform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports. 
  • Perform occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel, as needed. 

What You Will Bring:

  • Must have an Associates degree or technical certification from a technical school or four (4) years related experience. 
  • Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D. 
  • Valid Driver's License - Clean driving record. 
  • Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
  • Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position. 
  • Must have above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. 
  • Must be able to read, write and interpret reports, business correspondence and procedural documentation. 
  • Must be able to apply mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations (fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions) and apply to practical situations.
