Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Facilities Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with experience evaluating building systems, conducting inspections, and providing engineering solutions related to building envelope performance and facility conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing systems, waterproofing, exterior wall systems, structural components, and overall facility assessments for commercial, institutional, and residential properties.
Responsibilities
  • Perform facility condition assessments and building envelope evaluations.
  • Inspect and assess roofing, waterproofing, exterior cladding, windows, and structural systems
  • Identify deficiencies, moisture intrusion issues, and code compliance concerns
  • Prepare technical reports, repair recommendations, and cost estimates
  • Support design and remediation projects related to building envelope systems
  • Coordinate with clients, contractor, architects, and internal project teams
  • Conduct field investigations and construction observations
  • Assist with project management, scheduling, and qualitiy control efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • PE licensure in progress or obtained, depending on state requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency with CAD, Revit, and structural design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS).
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and material behavior (concrete, steel, timber, masonry).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Licensed Engineering Intern (E.I.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.)
    • RRC/RRO, CDT, or other building envelope certification a plus
    • Experience with condition assessments, reserve studies, or restoration projects

    Travel Requirements
    • This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work
