Job description

HEICO Component Repair Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern / Assistant to support our Engineering Team.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organize and ready to contribute to the development and maintenance of aviation repair documentation and testing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting Engineers in the analysis, testing, and repair of aircraft accessory components and testing equipment.
  • Assisting in preparing, revising and maintaining engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
  • Supporting the fabrication and assembly of specialized testing equipment and fixtures.
  • Gathering, organizing and verifying technical data.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Skills / Education and Experience
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle small components and tools.
  • Visual acuity to read drawings, measurements, and small markings on components.
  • Occasional exposure to shop / test environment requiring the use of PPE.
