Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer I to join an engineering team focused on the design and development of industrial tools and machinery used in pipe, tube machining, and welding applications. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical systems who is eager to grow technically and professionally. The ideal candidate is self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, manufacturing, product management, service, and repair teams to troubleshoot challenges and develop innovative mechanical solutions
  • Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, tolerance analyses, and documentation in accordance with ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards using SolidWorks CAD software
  • Design mechanical tools, fixtures, machine components, and subassemblies
  • Support engineering projects involving bill of materials (BOM) structure, material selection, strength of materials, thermodynamic conditions, coatings, fastening methods, manufacturing processes, and cost-conscious tolerance design
  • Assist in the design and specification of electromechanical systems, including AC/DC motors, servo motors, solenoids, and actuators
  • Contribute to pneumatic and hydraulic system design, including cylinders, valves, regulators, hoses, and fittings
  • Maintain accurate BOMs, revisions, and component data within an ERP system
  • Participate in hands-on prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in an R&D environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned while upholding company core values
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical design, drafting, fabrication, assembly, or testing of mechanical systems or tools (internships or co-op experience acceptable)
  • Proficiency or familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, complete work
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative team environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
